Swaps and replacements

A Human Node can be replaced in two ways: for a single module, or for the whole position with a brand. A brand can also plan a swap, which happens only once a replacement is ready. You can be on either side: the Node who is replaced, or the Node who takes over.

A module or a position

A module

One module, on one day, is open. It is offered in Opportunities, and the original Node stays with the brand.

A position

The whole position with the brand is open. It is offered in the Pool, and the original Node has left the brand.

When a brand plans a swap

A brand can ask to replace you with another Human Node, on a date it would like.

1. The request. A position opens for the brand, and a new Human Node certifies on it. Your schedule does not change.
2. The replacement is ready. Only when the new Node is certified and confirmed does your schedule show an end date for your modules, and you are notified.
3. The handover. You work normally until that date. On it, the new Node takes over.

If no replacement certifies in time, the swap does not happen: you continue normally, with no end date, and the brand is told the replacement is not ready. The date the brand chose is a target, not a commitment. It can be met on that day or later.

Everything you complete until the handover is paid on the normal cycle.

An open module appears in Opportunities. When you accept it, you certify on the brand if you do not already hold a valid certification. When several Human Nodes certify for the same module, the first to finish takes it. See Extra modules.

A module can be handed over after it started, with tickets already waiting. Each ticket's conversation shows everything that was done, so you know where things stopped.

Taking over a position

An open position appears in the Pool. You choose it, certify on the brand, and take over all the position's modules from then on. See The Pool.

Your clock starts when you take over

When you take over a module that has already started, your 30 minutes to enter the Console count from the moment you took it over, not from the module's start. You are never counted late for time before your commitment.
