Sign in and security
Every sign-in to your Human Node dashboard asks for your password and a code sent to your email. You can add an authenticator app on top of the code. Your password, your second factor and your active sessions are in the Security section of your Profile.
- Enter your email and password, and select Sign In. You can also use Continue with Google.
- Enter the code Razviel emails you. The code is valid for 10 minutes and works once.
The email code is part of every sign-in, and it cannot be turned off.
When you create your account, you verify your email with a 6-digit code before you can enter the dashboard.
Add an authenticator app
The authenticator app is optional. It adds to the email code; it never replaces it. With it on, every sign-in asks for both.
- Open your Profile from the menu at the bottom of the sidebar, and go to Security.
- On the Two-Factor Authentication card, turn the authenticator on or off.
Your active sessions
Under Security, you see where you are signed in, with the current device marked, and your last sign-in with its date and approximate city.
- Select Revoke on a session to sign that device out.
- Select Sign out of all other devices to sign out everywhere except where you are now.
A session ends after 30 minutes without activity, and after 12 hours in any case. You then sign in again.
Your password
To change it, go to Security and enter your current password and the new one twice. Your password must have at least 12 characters, with at least one number and one symbol, and very weak passwords are refused.
If you cannot sign in, select Forgot password? on the sign-in screen:
- Enter your email, and a 6-digit code is sent to it.
- Enter the code.
- Choose a new password and confirm it.
Changing your password this way signs you out of every other device.
Security notices
If Razviel needs to tell you about a security incident that affects your account, a notice opens before anything else in your dashboard. It says what happened and what you should do, and you confirm it with Acknowledge.
