Extra modules
Extra modules are single modules you can take outside a fixed schedule, on days you have free. They appear in the Opportunities tab, the Module Market. An extra module is a module left open: released in time by another Human Node, or not delivered.
When Opportunities appears
The Opportunities tab is open once you complete platform certification, and it stays open:
- when you are ready for a brand and have not chosen one yet;
- while you serve a brand that is out of its trial;
- between brands, after you have served one.
It is closed while you certify on a brand and while the brand you serve is in its trial.
Who can take an extra module
An extra module can be taken only on a day when you have no regular module. Coverage runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 17:00 ET, so a Human Node who serves a brand has modules every weekday and finds the Market empty. In practice, extra modules are taken by Human Nodes who are not serving a brand at the moment.
While the brand you serve is on standby, the Market is empty for you. See Brand standby.
The Market shows only the modules that fit your schedule. If a module is listed, you can take it.
The three panels
- Module Market — the extra modules available, each with the brand, the date, an estimate, the modules and the spots left.
- Upcoming Modules — the extra modules you accepted, until they happen.
- History — the extra modules you completed.
An extra module can be a full day, Atlas and Apollo together, taken by one Human Node, or a single module.
Take an extra module
- In Module Market, select Accept Module.
- If you are not certified on that brand, certify on it through the usual three stages. Other Human Nodes may be certifying for the same module, and the first to finish takes it. If your certification on the brand is still valid, you skip this step. See Brand certification.
- The module is added to Coverage.
- On the day, the Console opens 15 minutes before the module starts. See The access window.
If you do not deliver an extra module
A confirmed extra module that you do not deliver means you can no longer take extra modules at that brand. It does not affect any other brand.
FAQ
Why can't I see any extra modules?
Extra modules only fit free days. If you serve a brand, you have modules every weekday; if that brand is on standby, the Market stays empty until the standby ends.
Do I need to certify for every extra module?
Only at a brand where you do not hold a valid certification.
